Simmons leads Dragons to first SIAC win of season

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Dragons women's basketball team hosted Clark Atlanta on Monday evening at J.F. Lane Gymnasium.
  • Lane picked up their first conference win of the season
  • Kayla Simmons dominated the paint in the victory for Lane, scoring 15 points and pulled in 20 rebounds. The reigning SIAC Player of the Week also blocked eight shots and collected four assists.
  • Jordyn Neal scored in double figures, finishing with 15 points
  • Iitasha Paty finished with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting
  • Lane outscored CAU 32-22 in the paint
  • The Dragons bench outscored the Panthers 21-5 
Lane will travel to Albany, Ga., on Thursday for a matchup with cross-divisional rival Albany State. Game time is set for 5:30 PM EST.
