The Lane College volleyball team traveled to Mississippi twice this week for nonconference matchups with Mississippi University for Women and Tougaloo College. The Dragons left the Delta state with two wins ahead of this weekend's SIAC West Cluster in Mobile.

On Tuesday, the Dragons won three straight sets after dropping the opening frame. Tamari Mitchell led the way with 11 kills while Jazmyne Jones had 20 assists.

Bre'elle Hawkins paced Lane on Thursday night, finishing with 11 kills. Kristen Jackson had a team-high 15 assists.

The Dragons will play two games in Mobile on Friday. They take on host Spring Hill College at 1:00 PM followed by a matchup with Tuskegee at 3:30 PM.
