Volleyball takes two from Miles

45JACKSON, Tenn. – The Dragons volleyball team hosted a doubleheader against Miles College on Tuesday evening at J.F. Lane Gymnasium.
 
Lane enjoyed a successful day hitting, finishing the first match with a .383 attack percentage, 45 kills. and 11 aces. They followed that up in game two by hitting .420 with 45 kills.
 
Bre'elle Hawkins led the way with 27 kills followed by Maia Thompson who had 24 kills.
 
Jazmyne Jones was credited with 52 assists in the doubleheader while Kristen Jackson added 27.
 
The wins move Lane into a tie for fourth place in the SIAC West with two remaining games. A win in either of those games could secure the Dragons in spot in the 2021 SIAC Championship Tournament.
 
Lane will travel to Memphis on Friday for a showdown with LeMoyne-Owen at 6:00 PM. The Dragons will then host Central State on Saturday, October 23rd, at 1:00 PM.
