Lady Dragons fall in First Round of NCAA Tournament

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 15, 2019) - The Lady Dragons, midway through the second quarter, fought back from an eight-point deficit to tie the No. 1 seed host Florida Southern College at 27 apiece in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Regional Tournament on Friday afternoon in Lakeland, Fla.

But the Lady Mocs knocked down a 3, got a stop, and before you knew it, took an 11 point lead into the locker room. Florida Southern Continued to show why they earned the No. 1 seed as the hosts eliminated Lane College 89-57, ending the Lady Dragons' magical, historic season.

The Lady Dragons won four straight games to pick up a 44-42 win over Kentucky State to win the first SIAC Championship in program history and a berth to the NCAA Tournament. Lane finished with a career best 12-9 in conference play.
