JACKSON, Tenn. (January 21, 2019) - Nearly six minutes in, the Tuskegee men's basketball team just went up, doubling up the host Lane College Dragons, 10-5 and the nearly 500 fans in the stands all thought it could be a really long night on the celebration of Dr. King.

But Lane College head coach Bryanth Basemore had seen enough and called a quick timeout to settle his team. That timeout worked as nearly three minutes later, the Dragons took their first lead of the night as the two teams traded the lead multiple time in the first half before Lane started to pull away late, taking a 30-23 lead into the locker room. The Dragons then came out and outscored the Golden Tigers by 15 en route to Tuskegee's worst conference loss of the season, 75-53.

Terrace Holt lead all scorers with 17 points while senior forward Kendarius Ash finished with a double-double, dropping in 16 points and pulling in 11 rebounds. D'Angelo Brown finished with 11 points while Lucious Brown pulled in ten points.

The Dragons embark on their longest road trip of the season when they head on the road for nearly two weeks, starting this Saturday at Kentucky State at Franfort, Kentucky. Tip off is set for 3 p.m. EST.Â
