Shooting woes hurt Lady Dragons

JACKSON, Tenn. (February 5, 2018) - Outscoring Miles College 15-8 in the second period, the Lane College Lady Dragons took a slim three point lead into the locker room Monday night. But that lead was fleeting, as the Lady Golden Bears came out of the break hot while the Lady Dragons struggled to find their rhythm, being outscored 18-4 on their way to a 59-46 Miles win at JF Lane Gymnasium.
Mariah Hopkins recorded her first double-double of the season, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Chloe Roberts had a game-high 16 points, 13 of those coming in the first 20 minutes. She went 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.
Up next for the Lady Dragons is Lemoyne-Owen this Saturday at Oman Arena as part of the senior night festivities. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m.Â
