(November 24, 2018) - The Lane College men's basketball team has picked up back-to-back impressive wins in the last week after knocking off No. 24 ranked Christian Brothers University on Tuesday to end the non-conference portion of the schedule before then heading on the road to start conference play with a second half comeback to take down Paine College in Augusta, Georgia on Saturday afternoon.
Lane 83, Christian Brothers 79
In a game that featured 16 ties and 33 lead changes, it was two clutch free throws from junior guard
Daniel Hill with 37 seconds left to give Lane its final lead of the night as they picked up the victory over No. 24 Christian Brothers, 83-79, Tuesday night in Memphis, Tennessee, just three days after the host Bucs downed No. 3 ranked Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) 81-75.
The Dragons were able to pull away late thanks to a 6-1 run over the final 1:11, with all six points coming from the free throw line. Hill accounted for four of those including the two go-ahead shots and senior forward
Lucious Brown sealed the game with the final two points of the contest. Hill and Brown were a combined 11-of-11 from the charity stripe. The Dragons shot an astounding 85 percent from the line.

LaJustin Anderson led the Dragons with 22 points, followed by 21 points from Hill in just 22 minutes. Senior guard
Terrace Holt finished in double figures with 11 points while picking up four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals.
Lane 61, Paine 48
The Dragons trailed by three going into the break but came out in the second half, outscoring the Lions 36-20 over the final 20 minutes to pick up the run-away win 61-48 in front of the home crowd Saturday afternoon in Augusta, Ga. to start 1-0 in SIACÂ play.
For the second straight game, Anderson led the team in scoring with 18 points while Brown and Holt both added eight apiece. senior forward
Kendarius Ash added nine points and Hill added seven as eight Dragons scored in the win.
Lane College improved to 2-2 on the season and looks to stay perfect in SIACÂ play when they take on Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST.
