Lady Dragons comeback falls short on road

ATLANTA, Ga. (January 4, 2018) - Junior guard Kristy Armwood has missed the last two games due to injury. In her return, she made back-to-back jumpers down the stretch to give the Lady Dragons a chance to knock off the Lady Panthers, a team that was undefeated in SIAC play. Unfortunately for Lane College, Clark-Atlanta would pull away in the final two minutes to remain undefeated with a 63-55 victory Thursday night in Atlanta.

Three Lady Dragons finished in double figures led by Rickera Martin, who finished with 13 points. Antrice McCoy dropped in 11 and Armwood added 10 points in her return. Senior center Ashley Gayle pulled in a game-high 13 rebounds.

The Lady Dragons take a quick break from conference play when the head to Springfield, Mo. to take on Drury University this Wednesday. Tip off is scheduled for 11 a.m.
