JACKSON, Tenn. (January 27, 2018) - The last time these teams faced off, it took a last second shot from the visiting Dragons to knock of the Thorobreds in Frankfort, Ky. With the teams coming out of the locker room knotted up 32-all, it looked like history might repeat itself, this time in Jackson, Tenn.

But Lane College decided to defy history, outscoring Kentucky State 16-4 out of the gate to take a 48-36 lead with 14:20 left on way to a commanding 79-63 win Saturday afternoon at JF Lane Gymnasium.

Junior forward Kendarius Ash picked up his 13th double-double of the season, finishing with a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds. He also pulled in a team-high four assists. Three other Dragons finished in double figures. Terrace Holt flirted with a double-double of his own dropping in 18 points while grabbing nine rebounds. Myles Lee finished the game with 13 points mainly thanks to 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Jade Patrick contributed 10 points and five rebounds in just 19 minutes of playing time.

The win pulls the Dragons ahead of the Thorobreds in the standings, improving Lane College to 6-7. Kentucky State falls to 5-8.

Lane College is back in action this Monday when they host Central State University. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. or directly following the conclusion of the women's game.
