Dragons win in dramatic fashion at home

JACKSON, Tenn. (January 13, 2018) -
Brandon Dansoh finished Saturday's game against visiting Spring Hill College with four points. Not exactly lighting up the box score. And if you weren't in JF Lane Gymnasium Saturday afternoon, you'd have no idea why everyone on campus will be giving Dansoh high fives, fist bumps and congratulations this upcoming week.
It's because two of those four points came with 13 seconds left to give Lane College a 66-64 win in front of a very loud and intense home crowd.
The layup came thanks to a steal from
Kendarius Ash, who finished with his ninth double-double of the season, dropping in a game-high 26 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Ai'Shontis Sanders added 11 points.
As a team, the Dragons finished with eight steals, five assists and two blocks while only committing two turnovers in the entire game.
The win puts Lane College in a tie with Kentucky State at 4-6 in conference play and 2-1 in the Western Division. Lane owns the tiebreaker thanks to a 72-71 win in Frankfort, Ky. back on December 2.
Lane College is back in action this Saturday when they head to Birmingham, Ala. to take on Miles College.Tip off is scheduled for 3 p.m. or directly following the conclusion of the women's game.
