Thomas also helped revive one of Rust College Athletics' most cherished traditions by playing a key role in reestablishing the Rust College Athletics Hall of Fame after a 16-year hiatus, with the previous induction class having been honored in 2009. His efforts helped celebrate the institution's rich athletic history while reconnecting former student-athletes, alumni, and supporters with the program.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Thomas is passionate about community engagement and youth mentorship. He has volunteered with numerous local and national mentoring initiatives and remains committed to developing the next generation of leaders through service and education.

Thomas is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
